Japanese national anthem
Known as 君が代: "May your reign last forever"
It's considered one of the shortest national anthems in the world: only 56 seconds long. It's based on an ancient poem written on the Heian period (794–1185) 1
Although the anthem has been in use for many years, it wasn't until 1999 when it was officially recognized as the national anthem.
